Birth, Labor, Breastfeeding & Newborn Care Class
In-Person, 4-Session Series
Prepare for one of the most important transitions of your life with our comprehensive Birth, Labor, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care Class. This four-part, in-person series is designed to support expectant parents through every stage of late pregnancy, childbirth, and the early weeks with a newborn.
Each session runs approximately 2 hours from 6pm to 8pm and covers essential topics, including:
Session 1 (September 8th): Knowing Your Birth Team
Learn how your nervous system works, and how labor can flow more seamlessly. Understand the importance of feeling safe and confident, and why it is important to pick a trusted birth team.
Session 2 (September 15th): Understanding Labor & Birth
Learn the stages of labor, common medical interventions, comfort measures, and what to expect during delivery—whether it’s your first baby or not.Session 3 (September 22nd): Preparing for the Big Day & Postpartum
Dive into the emotional and physical experience of birth, practice breathing and relaxation techniques, and develop your birth preferences and support plan. Discuss how your body changes after baby is born, and how to care for yourselfSession 4 (September 23rd): Breastfeeding Basics & Newborn Care
Get hands-on guidance on establishing breastfeeding, learning feeding cues, troubleshooting common challenges, and building confidence in your body’s natural abilities.Discover how to care for your baby in the first weeks—diapering, swaddling, sleep basics, soothing techniques, and what to expect during those tender first days at home.
This class is inclusive, practical, and evidence-based, offering you the tools and reassurance you need to feel confident and empowered. Classes are held in person in a supportive group setting, allowing time for questions, discussion, and connection with other expecting parents. The class will take place in our office at 10609 IH-10 W, Ste 203.
The fee for this class is $325 and includes admission for you and a partner.
